Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2009 for everyone that is a part of Sense FM or enjoys listening to the music. Hopefully you've enjoyed your holidays and are ready to take on the New Year celebrations. So far in 2008 we have had a great year with major progress on the station and there are alot of new things happening in 2009. We'd like to share some of the news with you and give you a chance to find out what we have upcoming in the early part of 2009. Read on the rest of the article for details....

The year 2008 brought alot of success to Sense FM as well as popularity. Alot of established Artists and Djs have taken notice to Sense FM and have made contact with us for either a radio show or promotional purposes. In October of 2008 we had the chance of launching our new website which so far is the most robust web solution that we have experienced. It took alot of work to compile our new website and the process of implementing new features such as Message Board Improvements, Community Builder, Dynamic & Static News Posting, Account Creation, and more.

Our fans, visitors, and listeners expressed their opinions and were able to communicate to us the changes they wanted to see as well as a new website to be launched. The new website was also a part of leaning towards the future improvement of the station while making some necessary internal changes in late 2008 or early 2009.

Resident DJs & Radio Shows

Since the birth of the radio staiton in March 2005 we have focused and worked hard on improving internal relations with our Resident DJs and their radio shows. In the second part of 2008 we needed to get rid of a few shows and including some Resident DJs due their poor behaviour, lack of support for the station, and most of all lack of support for their own radio shows.

We have spent alot of time to define and determine the way that things SHOULD work here on the station when you become a Resident DJ. It seems that alot of bedroom Djs or upcoming artists still have a problem with understanding a few key components.............Determination, Punctuation, Creativity, & Support when it comes to being a part of Sense FM.

To conclude this part of our article we wanted to notify everyone that starting in late December 2008/January 2009 we are making alot of changes in the way Djs are accepted to become a part of the Sense FM Roster. Although in general if you do not meet the 4 words mentioned above you will be dropped from the station sooner or later. Do not waste our time as we will not waste yours!

Our Upcoming 4 Year Anniversary

Yes, that's correct! According to our records and the backtracking we did March 1, 2009 will mark the 4 year existence of Sense FM. We are quite excited about this landmark and already have a special event in the works for this day.

The first domain name that was registered for Sense FM was www.sensegenerate.com (the old station name) and based on WHO IS information it dates back to March of 2005. Since then the radio station has shaped up to be a leading competitor within the Online Dance Music Communities and other radio stations. This is something that we are quite proud of as we have invested alot of time and money to get to where we are today.

Bandwith Limitations, Upgrades, & Additions

For almost 4 years now we have strived to keep Sense FM FREE to our listeners, visitors of the website, and members of our community. Over the period of the last couple of years we have focused ane emphasized the importance of Donations to the station as this is what has helped the station continue running. Due to high demand of new Dj entrances and radio shows donations from our community are simply not cutting the cake anymore. Yes, that's right folks........everybody likes FREE music but the amount of donations and support are not enough to cover costs.

So, having said that I would like to outline in specific detail that we will remain FREE as in FREE to Tune In to our streams. This is something that will always remain same and will not change. I, personally have worked very hard in taking the time and funds necessary to ensure that we deliver High Quality Streaming Audio for NO COST to the end user. Among competition on the Web Sense FM has delivered some of the highest, most dependable, and FREE streaming audio for the last few years (we did our homework and know).

In order for the station to continue growing and the same time for us to be able to expand our listener base we will be making some internal changes. These changes will primarily reflect our Resident DJs and their radio shows so as an END USER or REGULAR LISTENER you really don't have much to worry about. All we ask is that you continue helping & supporting Sense FM as you have done so in the past.

New Staff Additions & Former Relationships Changes

Over the last 4 years and since the beginning of Sense FM, I personally have had the change to work with alot of Djs, Producers, Music Communities, and Record Labels. In most part the DJs, Producers, and Record Labels have maintained their level of professionalism on a communication level. Although some Dance Music Community that we have had the opportunity to work with in 2008 is another story.

There has been a multitude of Forum Moderators and Dance Music Forum Owners that have put on a "front" in most cases to make an "attempt" in the way they present their so-called HOBBY. I'm referring to the several websites which I'm not going to name that are currently running on the Web that literally are under the impression that they are doing something for the Dance Music Community by simply having a website that relates to the subject.

We have terminated several business relationships with several sites due to the fact that their approach and business sense could not come together even if it was the last day on Earth. I'd really like to personally point out the names of several websites which we have helped bring tremendous exposure and support although for the sake of keeping this article post clean I am not going to just do that.

So, on a positive note in 2009 we are going to be making new additions to the website as far as Affiliations go and new Staff Members. In overall on this subject of things it is important for us to notify you as the reader, listeners, or visitor to our website the strength and hard work that we dedicate in assuring that Sense FM continues to move forward.

In conclusion I would like to summarize and outline to everyone reading this that we think you'll be quite surprised as to what you see in early 2009 here at Sense FM. As always we want to remind everyone that we are here first and foremost to ensure the future of Sense FM while helping and fully supporting the dance music community.
