A year on and going strong, Ascension celebrates it's first birthday on the worldwide airwaves!

What a year it has been! In twelve months Ascension has featured exclusive mixes from leading names, and continues to support the divine sounds of euphoric and tech driven trance. Since 2008, the show has exploded onto the airwaves and delivered mixes from top calibre acts such as Cosmic Gate, Judge Jules, Alex MORPH, Riley & Durrant, Jon O' Bir and Marcel Woods to name a few. All that can be said is that 2009 is set to be another storming year.

Ascension host, UK based DJ/producer Fullerlove is thrilled with the show's success; 'The response to Ascension has been overwhelming. Sander Van Doorn Biography & Background Information

Without a doubt Sander Van Doorn is THE name of the future. A truly talented Dj and producer, who in just 5 years has clocked up more air miles, hit releases, club floor anthems and sell out gigs worldwide than most DJs would in a lifetime. Think he's done there? Sander is just getting started!

Hailing from the Netherlands (like most top flight trance stars), Sander in 2008 reached a staggered No. 13 in the DJ Mag Top 100 Poll, sitting above the likes of Paul Oakenfold and Eddie Halliwell.

His debut artist album 'Supernaturalistic' took clubland by storm and demonstrates the sheer diversity and talent Sander possess, punching through the boundaries of trance and techno and ultimately, creating a real sound of his own. Over the past 5 years years, he has produced amazing tracks including 'Grasshopper', 'The Bass' and the anthem 'Riff', as well as killer remixes like Sia's 'Girl You Lost' and the cheeky bootleg of Arctic Monkey's 'Sun Goes Down'. With his midas touch in the studio, Sander has always delivered high quality productions and lives up to high expectations. His current release 'Close My Eyes' with Robbie Williams has had massive support from MTV and Radio 1, with a rocking remix of the Killer's 'Spaceman' doing the rounds on the promo circuit. For the diehard Sander fans, you'll know him under his Sam Sharp alias, recently releasing the banging 'Roundabout'.

From the DJ and Producer to the label owner, since 2007 Sander has been the force behind Doorn Records. Signing artists including Menno De Jong, Filterheadz and Simon Patterson, this label is set for big projects and is one to keep an eye on in the years ahead.

As a DJ Sander is no stranger to the main stage. In Ibiza he rocked floors for Judgement Sundays, Tiesto's Search For Sunrise and Cream as well as being billed in the top line ups for the likes of Trance Energy, Global Gathering, Dance Valley, Sensation on top of regular UK events including The Gallery, Colours, Godskitchen and Gatecrasher. On the way, Sander was also named as ambassador for Dance4Life as well as scooping an award for Best Breakthrough Artist at the IDMAs at the WMC 2008 in Miami, as well as being nominated for Best Underground Dance Track for 'Riff'.

Taking the the roles of superstar DJ and icon to many, Sander has always remained grounded and very humble.
